Back it up!

An astounding 27.5% of people never backup their hard drive, and 13% do it once a year. Personally, I backup  automatically every night.  I am the owner of about 5 PC's, and due to the law of averages, I experience about 1 hard drive crash a year. If you think of all the important information one stores on their PC's, pictures, emails, work, videos, it would be a crime to lose all of this due to procrastinating a backup.  I have not always been like this, but after seeing people literally crying over pictures of their grandchildren that can never be recovered, I learned a lesson.

I’ll admit I held my breath hoping to recover data from a crashed hard drive more times that I would care to share.  I hope that most people will take my advice and get an external hard drive.  You can use the windows back up program to back up automatically at night.  (Start, programs, accessories, system tools, back up) You won't even know it's happening but you will sleep better knowing your data is safe.

Although Web Tech Services does have tools to recover your data, it can be expensive and is not always guaranteed.  Take our advice and back up regularly.  If you need help picking out an external hard drive, simply email me and I will be happy to recommend a few choices.  Better to be safe than sorry.
